Our client manufactures and distributes industrial coatings for hazard protection and fireproofing for the industrial and commercial construction industries.  They are adding to their successful Sales Team.

This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the company’s coatings' sales efforts. The incumbent will manage a pipeline for new accounts interested in our industrial and commercial services. Providing these services will generally require estimating, managing the project’s construction, and upholding strong customer relationships. The right candidate will be able to direct and coordinate sales efforts in the Midwest Central Region.  

Essential Functions

  • Promotes and investigates opportunities for growth with both new and/or existing customers
  • Analyzes market trends, opportunities and threats and assists in developing strategic business plan to achieve goals
  • Establish relationships with new and existing customers to develop and maintain long term service contracts. Work with customers and our services team to develop creative cost-effective solutions 
  • Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.  
  • Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills
  • Identify business development and potential extra work opportunities as they relate to projects
  • Perform job walks and review blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates and/or project improvements
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner with integrity

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

  • 4-year degree in business a plus but not required.
  • PM certification a plus but not required.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience or a combination of education and experience in industrial sales. 
  • Must have some estimating understanding/experience in coatings, paint, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level and temperature in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Encounters typical working conditions at construction sites such as dangerous, slippery, uneven walking surfaces, mud, ice, concrete, scaffolding, and steps.
