Job Description

Our growing industrial products client near Berwyn area is adding to its sales staff. If you want a stable and profitable career with a solid company, this opportunity could be right for you. Our client is a raw materials wholesaler selling directly to manufacturers of consumer and industrial products, including components, tools, equipment, engines, bikes, boats and autos. 

The Role:

  • Prospect and develop new supply opportunities with existing customers, new customers or reactivated prospects through outbound telephone cold-calling
  • Identify & qualify prospects whose needs align with the types of products and services offered
  • Actively manage and grow a dedicated sales territory through on-going and consistent contact and relationship-building
  • Accurately forecast customer material usage to maintain continuity of supply
  • Maintain and update CRM system to maintain accurate customer information and specification revisions
  • Manage day to day activities including inventory control, manufacturing processes and shipping to ensure on time delivery
  • Manage customer specific inventories and react to situations that arise
  • Remain current and knowledgeable on all company products, capabilities and systems
  • Flexible – able to adjust to conditions as markets change
  • Ability to understand supply base strengths and weaknesses

Job Requirements

  • 5+years of Inside Sales, B2B sales of industrial supplies or materials, scrap metal, auto parts or similar products
  • 5+ years of outbound telephone sales, demonstrating a sufficient volume of weekly/monthly calls to generate sales and meet quotas
  • Experience in the metals processing industry experience, carbon steel and hot/cold rolled coil is preferred but not required. We will train in our industry.
  • Strong skills in new business development, prospecting, lead nurturing, relationship-building, hunting and closing
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to grow territory and meet established sales objectives and quotas.
  • Self-starter with high energy, discipline, persistence, drive
  • Detail oriented, organized, accurate documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with decision-makers of all levels
  • Proficiency is using MS Office Suites, CRM, Outlook and e-mail
  • Associates Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or related disciplines is preferred
