We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to provide both strategic and tactical HR leadership to our operations in Lancaster, PA and nearby plants.  This is a challenging yet exciting opportunity to direct and lead the human resource activities and programs for this manufacturing location.  The HR Manager will partner closely with plant leaders and the business unit’s HR team; building employee engagement by driving the development and attainment of business strategies and plans through strategic HR planning, change management, organizational design and talent management.  This position reports directly to the Corporate Senior Human Resources Manager with a strong dotted line to the Plant Manager. 

 

Key Responsibilities for Human Resources Manager     

  

  • Lead and direct plant HR activities to support the achievement of plant performance metrics in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity & People
  • Serve as a strategic business partner, developing plans in tandem with plant objectives and functional HR processes
  • Ensure the execution of key plant HR initiatives and processes to drive continuous improvement in all areas of Human Resources  to include organization effectiveness, staffing, employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits, employment practices and legal compliance
  • Guide the Employee Relations strategy and manage overall culture at the plant to maintain a positive employee relations environment

Requirements for Human Resources Manager 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in a manufacturing organization with a minimum of 2 years of union/labor relations experience
  • Experience with recruitment, employee relations, compensation, performance management, talent management, organizational development and culture / engagement initiatives
  • PHR/SPHR certification desired
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies to increase value to customers through elimination of non-value added work
  • Experience working in both union and non-union environments
