The Role and Responsibilities

The role and responsibility of the Account Manager is to continuously grow marketshare in the suburbs of Chicago, serving customers by selling IT staffing, recruiting, search, consulting, outsourcing or managed solutions services.
  • Consistently generates new leads by prospecting, cold-calling and networking to identify new target companies.
  • Actively works to meet and exceed quotas.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other factors.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of prospect and industry.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of prospects.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, services and competition.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, in a Sales or Account Manager role, selling IT recruitment, staffing, search, consulting, staff augmentation or outsourced managed solutions
  • Demonstrated history of sales success, new business development and top performance
  • 4-year college degree
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills – goal-driven, persistent, consistent. Ability to develop and stick to a plan of reaching out to clients.
  • Ability to develop, build, grow and maintain a book of business for IT staff augmentation consulting assignments, IT projects in the suburbs of Chicago.
  • Excellent leadership, prioritization, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prospect and engage clients and prospects using the phone, not just email, texting, LinkedIn etc.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Exceptional Compensation includes: Base Salary plus Commissions, Quarterly Bonuses based on revenue growth over prior QTR to generate a 6 figure income.
