Our growing industrial products client on Chicago’s near west side is adding to its Inside Sales staff. This opportunity could be the last job you ever have.  Our client is a raw metals material wholesaler selling directly to manufacturers of consumer and industrial products, such as components, tools, equipment, engines, bikes, boats and autos.  Their stable and profitable business is an environment where employees typical stay their entire career!  They are looking for a solid Inside Sales pro who knows metals and steel. 

Requirements:

  • 5+years of Inside Sales, outbound B2B calling sales experience
  • 1+ years of steel processing industry experience
  • A love of lead nurturing, relationship-building, hunting, and closing
  • Goal-oriented, strong closing skills
  • Self-starter with high energy, discipline, persistence, drive
  • Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills along with accurate documentation skills
  • Loyal, dedicated
  • Ability to communicate with decision-makers of all levels
  • Ability to adjust your conversation to the selling situation
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Independent problem solving skills are required
  • Strong data analysis, business acumen and math skills are required
  • Proficiency is using MS Office Suites, CRM, Outlook and e-mail
  • Experience in sales of metals, steel, industrial supplies or materials, scrap metal, auto parts or similar products are desirable
  • Associates Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or related disciplines is preferred

 

  • 5+years of industrial inside sales, outbound calling sales experience
  • 3+ years of direct B2B sales of commercial steel or metal products such as cold rolled or hot rolled, coated or non-coated, structural steel or similar products. Experience selling to manufacturing and industrial clients in automotive, appliance, construction, lawn and garden, computers, electronics or hardware and tools industries.
  • Other experience selling industrial supplies or materials, scrap metal, auto parts or similar products will be considered.
  • Strong skills in lead nurturing, relationship-building, hunting, and closing
  • Strong business acumen. Independent problem solving skills
  • Strong math aptitude to calculate weights, tonnage, freight, guage, thickness, size, etc. are required
  • Goal-oriented- setting short and long-term goals and objectives
  • High energy, discipline, persistence, drive, initiative, loyal. Team player
  • Commitment to delivering the best products and service to customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with accurate documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with decision-makers of all levels and a adjust your conversation to the selling situation
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Solid PC skills are required: MS Office Suites, CRM, Outlook and e-mail
  • Associates Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or related disciplines is preferred
